We went live with Double First Engage in September 2011. The benefits of the new system became obvious, immediately.
Mrs Agathocli, the Office Manager, regularly reminds me of how delighted she is to have a system that makes her workload more efficient and manageable. Some examples of this are the efficient and instant access of shared pupil data and everything that relates to running listings from the administration system. A significant bonus by way of a spin-off is that the system enables synchronisation overnight with our text messaging provider so that parent information is always up to date without the tedious duplication that was entailed using our former systems.
From the curriculum point of view I can say with absolute certainty that the Engage Double First system has streamlined and revolutionised our whole reporting system in double quick time. The external use of the portal facility means that staff have constant access not only to the terms’ reports but to curriculum information. Their ability to access information and to edit materials from home is a major asset.
The training provided has been most helpful and we, as a school. Are still young in terms of exploring all of the potential of our new system. We are very excited about what Engage Double First will be able to do for us as we become more proficient in using it. As new features come on line the potential for improving our own efficiency is considerable.
