Sadik Jamil head of school management information systems for Double First Double First is pleased to announce that Sadik Jamil has been appointed to the company’s Singapore-based office as Support Services Senior Consultant in charge of operations in the Far East region.

Sadik joins Double First Asia with a background that includes experience of technical and teaching roles and he is well placed to look after the interests of Double First’s growing range of schools in the area.

Having completed National Service, Sadik joined Fujitsu to work as an IT System Engineer gaining hands on experience of technical operations working for major banking clients. He progressed into a Technical Support Specialist role providing telephone support to international customers of the Siemens organisation.

Linda Asmarak technical support consultant for Double First school management information systemFollowing a brief period of retraining Sadik changed direction to move into primary education as a teacher of English and Mathematics while retaining his links to IT through assisting in the IT departments of the schools where he was employed.

Sadik has spent a number of years teaching in the primary education sector in Singapore and has now taken the decision to continue his IT aspirations by taking a management position in Double First Asia where he will assume responsibility for operations on a day to day basis.

He is currently undergoing intense training at Double First’s UK headquarters. He is married and lives with his wife in Singapore. “I am delighted to be working for Double First Asia,” Sadik stated during a brief break in his training schedule, “and look forward to delivering a first class service to our clients.” 

Sadik joins another experienced Singapore based member of staff, Linda Asmarak (pictured left), who also recently visited the UK for update training just in time to experience the snows of January. Linda has much experience as a data manager in schools and joined Double First after being introduced to Engage; but this is the first time we have introduced her to the vagaries of an English winter!
