Double First has released a significant version of its Engage school management information software that contains a fully integrated school SMS text messaging system, plus significant improvements to the Engage School Web Admissions tool that can fully integrate with any school website.
Many of the feature ideas incorporated are requested by academic and administrative staff from our school customers, through our twice yearly regional user group activities, our Share Ideas portal and via regular contact with the schools on the telephone and on our Support Portal.
The list of features in Engage v2015.11 includes:
- a new fully integrated SMS service that can be used to communicate with defined individuals and groups, with template functions and security options as well as a self-service text bundle ordering facility;
- a significant upgrade to the Engage Web Admissions tool to make it a full module – features now include the ability to upload documents and for parents to log in and check the progress of prospective pupil applications, as well as to add additional information to their application. Web Admissions also now supports multiple templates and retains its ability to be fully integrated in school websites in any easily incorporated manner;
- a new field for the Fees Account Code added to the Contact mail merge.
Plus a series of other improvements and amendments.
Licensed users of Engage with local installs have free access to all upgrades, plus associated release notes and user guides in the Engage school management information system Support Centre. Users with Cloud installations of Engage will be notified of their update in due course.
