Engage China user group 2019Engage Operations Director, Mike Taylor and CEO, Barry Anns, CEO welcomed 15 delegates to the first ever Engage school management information system User Group in China.

The Engage team included personnel from the UK, Nepal and Thailand who were in attendance to help support and develop the growing community of schools in China using our MIS and school finance systems. Dan Dorrington, Head of Boarding and Pastoral Care at Nanwai King’s College School, Wuxi, kindly hosted and arranged a fantastic venue and facilities for all of the delegates.

Many subjects were covered, including Engage’s adaptable and very well utilised Web Admissions and Daybook features, which cater for multiple languages and character sets, including Chinese languages. Consensus was also established of the merits of developing further the upcoming Payments feature within Engage, as well as the strong communications features that are built right into the system. Information gathered will be fed directly into Engage’s in-house development team for future Alipay and WeChat integration projects.

Commenting after the event, Barry Anns said: “China is an exciting region in terms of the huge value that is placed here on education, with lots of potential for our Engage MIS to enhance the school day across all facets of activity, from academic to personal development and administrative needs. It was a fantastic experience for the Engage team to visit Nanwai King’s College School and meet with delegates from other schools across the region. As always with User Groups we value the fantastic feedback about our products and services and I know in future weeks and months the benefits of networking, building friendships and getting help within the community will be yielded by those attending. We look forward to inviting more Chinese schools to future Engage User Groups in China, which enhances our already well established annual Asia Pacific User Group.”
