Engage Australia User Group 2018Friday 10 December 2018 saw a significant step for Double First’s new Australian office with our first dedicated User Group Conference convened for the growing community using our Engage school management information system in that territory. Participants from Australia have previously travelled to attend our popular APAC events which are typically held in Malaysia, Thailand, China and surrounding countries.

The inaugral conference was kindly hosted by Silkwood School, located on the Gold Coast, which has been fully operational on Engage since 2014. It was attended by representatives of many of our schools across Australia. Topics included new features in Engage, through to the use of Power BI to release the potential of the data stored in the student information system. It was a great day with plenty of opportunities for networking and getting to know and strengthen the Engage community.

One of the key values of Engage User Groups, which are held free of charge, is the power of networking those who are tasked with providing their own schools with the critical educational and administrative data services opon which all teachers, staff, parents and students depend. Speaking straight after the Australian User Group, one of the attendees stated: “I am the person responsible for Engage and it is great to know that I can email other users if I need support or advice.” Others commented on how useful it was to learn best practice from the Engage team and discuss localised solutions with other school users.

Watch out for further announcements on the next round of User Groups in each of our key regions over this coming year.
