A couple of weeks ago our team attended the BETT show in the heart of London, which is known to be the world’s leading education technology event. BETT gave us the opportunity to catch up with existing customers, as well as meeting brand new schools and educators. This year was also an extra special occasion, as we took a new approach to exhibiting at BETT to help celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Here are some of our highlights from the week…

The green team

Our team of fourteen, dressed in Engage Green t-shirts, hosted guests throughout the week. From serving daily free lunch to independent and international schools to giving one-to-one demonstrations of Engage from some of our team who are responsible for our award-winning school management information software. The team could also be spotted on the shop floor, where we had the chance to meet with some of our integration partners, such as Wonde and Firefly.

Escaping the shop floor

To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, this year we offered schools a calm space away from the hustle and bustle of the shop floor. Our exclusive meeting room provided us with the perfect setting to connect with current customers and answer any questions they had, as well as meet with prospective schools to help them learn more about Engage.

To accompany our daily offering of refreshments (and our 30-year-old Port!) we also had a series of prize draws throughout the week. Our prizes celebrated the best of British with a huge selection of themed hampers on offer to those who came to visit.

A chance to have our say

Throughout BETT we had a series of informative seminars that took place every day. One of the most popular seminars was our seminar focusing on GDPR. Our Chief Technical Officer, Paul Rastall, led the session during the week and answered some of the big questions in school data management.

We also had the privilege of taking to the big screens as well-known EdTech broadcaster Disruptive Live interviewed our CEO, Barry Ans. Barry had the chance to discuss the future of cloud based EdTech and Double First’s plans to support the international marketplace.

Welcoming new schools

We are very grateful to everyone who took the time to come and visit us at BETT 2018 and to those who were unable to attend we hope to see you at exhibitions and conferences over the next couple of months.

We would also like to make a special mention and welcome to the International School of Ikast-Brande, who signed up on the last day of BETT, following the previous day with our team!
