A selection of the nation’s top students visited the House of Lords this week to receive the highest accolade from the Council for Independent Education.
The award winning students, along with proud parents, teachers and principals, enjoyed afternoon tea overlooking the Thames, hosted by Lord Lexden OBE.
Two members of the Double First team, Kieran Millar (Group Finance Director) and Danielle Pilcher (Marketing Consultant) were among a handful of guests invited to support the prestigious event. The invitation to attend, which was gratefully received, marks the beginning of an exclusive partnership with the Council for Independent Education.
CIFE, the professional association for independent sixth-form colleges, promotes small classes, active teaching, good communication, effective pastoral support, expertise and flexibility. Double First are delighted to be working in partnership with CIFE to support the growth of independent sixth-form colleges nationwide.
Sally Powell, Chair of CIFE, explained “Double First understood where we were and where we needed to get to. Since then, we’ve been dealing with a dedicated project manager, and the helpdesk is fantastic, so I must say our person-to-person contact has been great.
“Unlimited training is provided for us as users of Engage, to ensure everyone is comfortable when using the school management software. Engage meets the needs of the school and allows the staff to do the jobs for which they were recruited.”
Double first will continue to support CIFE Colleges by providing an exclusive discount for members and developing Engage to meet the dynamic requirements of independent sixth-form colleges.
