Double First’s Share Ideas portal has been relaunched, with an even greater range of easy-to-use tools to enable schools to collaborate directly with our programme of continuous improvement.
Share Ideas enables schools to propose, vote and comment on their own Ideas and that of other schools. The Ideas that prove most popular are included within the regular releases of the Engage school management information system and school accounting software.
Read on to see 10 great new features that we have included:
Site homepage
As soon as you log into Share Ideas you now see all of the Ideas that have yet to be accepted, scheduled or released, arranged latest first (but you can re-sort them too). From here you can read, comment and vote on Ideas straight away.
Accepted page
The Ideas that were in the top two of the list at the release development cut off time will be added to this page. The most recently accepted Idea will be at the top of the list.
Scheduled page
As soon as an Idea is scheduled it will be moved to this page with the intended release version displayed. Note you won’t be able to cast votes on the Ideas listed here, or in the Released page.
Released page
Once an Idea has been released it will be moved to this page. The release version will be clearly visible. Our Engage release numbers simply comprise the month and year of the release, for ease of knowing when they will become available.
Order of comments
Comments are now displayed with the most recent ones on top, so you can easily keep up with the conversation from our schools in your region and around the world.
Crediting back your votes
You no longer lose your vote if you want to withdraw it and allocate elsewhere. Plus bonus! If an Idea you voted on is scheduled, then you get your votes for that idea credited back as a thank you for your input.
Intuitive system screen drop down
The System Screen dropdown has been split into three dropdowns: Product, Module and Screen. Each of the dropdowns is context sensitive, making it easier to log your idea against the correct application and area.
New emailing options
Within user profiles you can set custom options now for email alerts, including when Ideas are created, accepted, scheduled and released. You can set alerts for just your Ideas, or for all that are created and you can also ask for alerts when someone votes on your Idea.
Counting your votes
A quick glance at your User Profile page shows how many votes you have cast and how many you still have in your pocket
Easier identification of Ideas
Each Idea now has an Idea ID displayed in brackets after its heading. You can use this for searches, which avoids having to remember the Idea’s title.
