Hosted by Double First, the stunning Cisco Bedfont Lakes HQ in London was the venue for the seminar on Wednesday 18th October 2006.

Many schools attended this exciting seminar, some of which were existing customers. Cisco demonstrated how wireless technology can transform education offering connection to critical information, thereby improving efficiencies across a school’s network enabling seamless delivery of media.

Security of a school’s network and using the school network for implementation of security devices, was very well received by the delegates.

‘Network Security and Data Security,’ said Richard Jones, Group Sales Director, ‘is probably the most important topic at the moment for schools, and gaining interest from Data Protection. Consider the impact of pupils’ data being distributed on the internet and how that would impact on a school, let alone its parents.’

Continuing, Richard added, ‘As a Cisco Registered Partner and Microsoft Authorised Education Partner, we are well placed to help any school.’

Double First can offer FREE security audits to Schools which might be concerned about their security. Just call the number below.

Delegates’ imagination was fired when Engage, the acclaimed school information management software was demonstrated.

It was seen how light work could be made of administrative tasks such as analysing key performance indicators relating to assessment and marketing.

Similarly, how easily and quickly reports could be produced and the time it could save which could be better used elsewhere.

Two of Double First’s Account Managers were on hand to answer questions and schools were able to discuss hot topics over an informal lunch.
